Who we are

NW3 Weekly is a free weekly email newsletter about things to do in Hampstead, Belsize Park and South End Green. It is run by Lars, trading as NW3 Weekly, who is the data controller for your personal data. Contact: [email protected]

What we collect

• Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it
• Whether you open our emails and which links you click, recorded by our email provider, beehiiv
• How you signed up (for example, the website or a referral link)

Why we use it

• To send you the newsletter. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you sign up and confirm your email (double opt-in).
• To understand what readers find useful and to report overall numbers to advertisers. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and funding the newsletter. Advertisers only ever see anonymised, aggregate figures (such as total subscribers or average open rate), never your details.

Who handles your data

We use beehiiv to store our subscriber list and send emails. beehiiv acts as our processor and is based in the United States; your data is transferred there under appropriate safeguards required by UK law. You can read about beehiiv's own practices at beehiiv.com/privacy.

We never sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or anyone else.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or just email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
